Transitioning from Ruby To JavaScript

I learned a lot about my learning style and language preference….

It is so amazing just how versatile JavaScript can be! Coming into this journey knowing absolutely nothing about coding, and now learning how to build web applications has been a very challenging task. One thing I have had to learn is to focus on my own personal progress and not compare myself to those who are seemingly more advanced than I am!

One of the biggest challenges for me dealing with a language like JavaScript is that it is so Vanilla, and there are soooo many ways to approach a situation that I find myself receiving different answers to the same question! This was been my biggest obstacle, because most times I feel myself more confused.

Having learned Ruby first, I grew comfortable with the language’s functions and with the approach and how it is more linear!

Even though I have graduated I still know there is so much more that I want to learn within the Javascript language. So I decided to do a mini blog series on my learning/re-learning of the language and the small projects I plan to build! I am hopeful that my growth will be able to help anyone else out who may have had a difficult time transitioning from Ruby to JavaScript!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Holiday Season!

Til my next blog! Merry Holidays!!!!!
